Micro Diamond Cut Larimar Beads

These are calibrated diamond cut gemstone beads, also known as micro cuts. The many facets give these gemstones maximum sparkle. These micro cut, Larimar beads measure 4mm. You will receive approximately 100 micro diamond cut Larimar beads on a 15 1/2" strand. Surely, you could use some of these Larimar beauties in your stash.  We have been amazed about this stone for some time at A Grain of Sand. While on vacation in the Dominican Republic, I first fell in love with this stone. It's no wonder that they call it the "Jewel of the Caribbean". The robins egg blue color is natural. Only one mine in the world and it's under the ocean in the Dominican Republic. It is actually volcanic material. Some specimens have coral embedded within. Because it is volcanic material, it is very hard and therefore difficult to cut or drill into beads, thus the high price. We think it's worth it.
