One of a kind freeform Bloodstone cabochon. This natural beauty is highly polished and measures 33 x 23mm. The color ranges from a very dark green, to brown, to blood red. Bloodstone is a form of Jasper where the dark green color of the stone is flecked with red, hence the name bloodstone. The red coloration arises from the presence of hematite which is a form of iron oxide. Bloodstone is said to aid in detoxification of the body and help stave off negative energies.
