Vintage Filigree
Welcome to our Vintage Filigree Jewelry section. Unlike the mass of jewelry produced today, filigree Jewelry is ornate in design, calling for hours of concentration on the part of its maker. Incorporating the ancient techniques and styles of vanished civilizations, filigree is without a doubt one of the oldest and the most beautiful art forms known to the human race.
What Is Filigree: Filigree is a jewel work of a delicate nature made with twisted threads usually of gold and silver or stitching of the same curvy substance. It is used to decorate and beautify jewelry by adding a graceful touch. Though filigree has become a special branch of jewel work in modern times, it was anciently part of the ordinary work of the jeweler.
