This is an old technique used in the glass bead industry. Very tiny air bubbles are injected into the glass rods to give you the fabulous result. We just love it. These bugle beads are all temporarily strung in hanks for your beading and weaving convenience. Simply tip your needle through the string and take off what you need. This is one of the nice features of beads sold in hanks.
