12mm. We are extremely pleased to be able to bring to you these vintage Miriam Haskell glass beads that have been seen in so many of the Miriam Haskell Company costume jewelry designs. Here at A Grain of Sand we have done a great deal of research on the subject of Miriam Haskell. It is very hard to identify Miriam Haskell jewelry for most because none of her jewelry was signed until after 1950 but the avid collector can spot a Miriam Haskell component through photographs of her pieces. These vintage beads were obtained for your pleasure from overstock through an avid NYC bead importer who is no longer there. This glass bead was made circa 1950 in Japan by Cherry Brand for Miriam Haskell. Cherry Brand beads were hand made beads made by a group of glass artisans in Osaka, Japan from 1945 to 1952 during the US Occupation of Japan after WWII. Cherry Brand was not a factory!  Cherry Brand was actually a large group of individual artisans that made these glass beads in their homes. So now you have a little information on the history of Cherry Brand Japanese beads and how we date these fabulous vintage beads. These handmade vintage baroque glass beads are irregular in size and shape. You will notice a wonderful irregular dimpling in these beads. No two glass beads are alike. ! You will receive approximately 24 beads on a 10” strand. The reason we can not give you an exact count is because these baroque beauties vary in size and shape.  You won’t find vintage glass beads prettier than vintage Miriam Haskell stock. When these are gone, they are GONE!
