Vintage Mother of Pearl Shell Single Hole Buttons or Sequins

10mm round with a single hole in the center. This is a flat disc originally produced in the 1920’s for the textile industry for buttons that originally had a metal shank added in the center. These have also been used as sequins before celluloid and plastic sequins came to be. These were in their original boxes marked "Made in Japan". Old and naturally beautiful. What nice additions these would make to jewelry designs of today? Hum. . . .
