Vintage Red Glass Beads

This temporarily strung strand of gorgeous red hot glass beads is gently graduated from 4mm to 9mm. Total length 18". Made in Czechoslovakia. These beads are OLD! The delicious red color does vary a bit which gives them a very unique rich vintage feeling.

8 x 5mm. Made in West Germany. These are round and slightly flat on the sides.They look just like "red hots".

6mm bead. Made in Czechoslovakia, these vintage ruby red beads are english cuts. English cuts are rough cut beads that were made before machine cutting was perfected. The faceting is slightly imperfect and rough but it gives them a nice sparkle!

8 x 5mm. Made in Czechoslovakia. Faceted deep cranberry glass rice beads with a white core. Check out the enlargement to see the original label for these beauties.

11 x 19mm. Made in Japan. These are delicate hollow beads with a powerful red color and fantastic shape. Light as a feather! Very rare beads.

Beads like this were used like sequins to sew on garments as embellishment. Won’t they make a beautiful spacer bead?! They are very old! Made in Czechoslovakia in the early 1900’s. Another rare find.

8mm round. These are really brilliant!!!! An old fashioned lipstick reddish coral color. Outstanding!!! These are "Made in Japan" and came out of their original boxes marked "Superior Beads Co." We enjoy finding beads like this. They have a sort of ’feelin’ that the contemporary stuff can’t measure up to.

13mm cubes with rounded edges. Drilled from corner to corner. These are really. . . .really rare!!!! They have a combination of colors that will amaze you. An opalescent purple with a sort of red and brown givre. Really amazing. Well, you need to see these in person to really appreciate the color and finish. If you collect old rare beads, you will most definitely want some of these beauties!

I had a grammar school teacher that wore lipstick this color red. Try it if you dare. 18" of beads here. Temporarily strung in a graduated fashion from 5-12mm with small silver plated glass bead spacers between each. These are uncirculated vintage glass beads that have some naturally vintage color and shape variations that give them even more appeal. 10mm round. These are very hard to come by! We stumbled upon them and could not believe our eyes. The beauty and detail in these hand made old beauties will surely excite any bead lover. Get them while we have them. Oh - these do look great with our vintage millefiori clasp item #5603.

7mm. Stunning. They don’t make um like this anymore. Beautiful rich cherry red color with a bit of a swirled deeper color.
