22mm round. These sensational vintage buttons were uncovered on their original crumbling cards. Made in Czechoslovakia. Glass shank backed. Rare and oh so sweet! They are painted on the backside to give them the wonderful reflection of colors from the front. They are a bit dusty so you may want to gently clean from the front with some mild suds. These beauties are so old that the paint may flake off so, I recommend sealing the painted backside with some clear coat nylon spray that you can get in the hardware store.

6mm round button. These lucite buttons have the feel, the look, and the coloring of bakelite! They do not have a shank, as they are side drilled. These buttons can be used on clothing or easily incorporated into any beading project.

12mm Octagon shaped buttons with a foiled back shank. The tops of these old beauties is smooth and the faceting is from beneath giving them lots of reflection. These had tags that said, "Made in Germany - U.S. Zone". Rare and hard to find in such mint vintage condition.

Each button is 10mm round. You get a dozen buttons on the original card. These are very old. Some of the cards are starting to disintegrate. But the buttons look beautiful. The card Says "Plus Ultra" on the top and "Extra fine Quality" on the bottom. Nice set of buttons.

18 x 25mm. Check out the enlargement to see the backside as well as the front. An unusual glass button designed with an added golden toned shank. cira 1950’s. Can’t you see these on a lady’s suit jacket?

13mm round. These old buttons have the shank and design molded into the glass. Great old buttons.

35mm round. These buttons are nice and big. They are a black molded glass with the "La Mode" signature on the backs. The faceted is quite nice. These are rather old and may have some imperfections, that’s the beauty of vintage. . . .isn’t it? I can picture these big buttons on a heavy sweater or coat or in a wonderful jewelry design. Hum. . . .

7mm round. I like to describe the color of these old buttons as "skim milk" white. They have that tranlucent white look. The shank is actually a part of the button. Sweet Old Skim Milk Buttons!

10mm round with a single hole in the center. This is a flat disc originally produced in the 1920’s for the textile industry for buttons that originally had a metal shank added in the center. These have also been used as sequins before celluloid and plastic sequins came to be. These were in their original boxes marked "Made in Japan". Old and naturally beautiful. What nice additions these would make to jewelry designs of today? Hum. . . .
