New Finds — Vintage Beads

25 x 30 x 15mm average size. Well. . . . . Maybe these arn’t small enough to be pebbles, but they sure have the shape and look. Made in Italy. Great looking old Flinestone style beads.

18mm round. This bead has an intense shape and color. It looks like a metallic rainbow. Really pretty old goody.

25 x 11mm. The color of these glass cabs is a wonderful chalcedony blue with a metallic wash over the center design to imitate marcasite. Made in Japan. Very pretty.

12 x 19 x 9mm. These are unusual and bright yellow with some hints of white within the beads.

Vintage Made in Czechoslovakia Picasso Finished Cube Beads 6 x 6mm cubes. The base color is a regal red with a with a green - brown picasso wash finish. They are unusual and very very nice! Rare color.

These are brass beads with a sterling silver plating. Simply essential.

1.5mm x 6-7mm length. These are fine 6 sided bugle beads. Nice glossy finish.

15mm. One side is flat & highly polished. The other side is precisely detailed into the gorgeous transparent ruby red colored flower. The hold is dead center. I think these originally would have been used to sew onto some sort of textile. They are a bit large for sew ons, but would work well in this capacity. In any event, they are exceptionally stunning!!!!

12 x 3mm. These are a 6 sided bugle. Nice thicker size and unusal green color.

8mm round. These beads have an unusual shape. Each one is a bit different in thickness for an "off" the beaten path sort of look. These are rare genuine Myiuki’s - Pre war, made in Japan. These beads are in uncirculated condition. They don’t make this color anymore. Its very hard to come by this size as well. Very rare wonderful quality beads.

26mm. Found while digging through stored mountains of old metal jewelry components of factories that have been closed for years. These beads have aged quite nicely. . . . Don’t ya think? This is a super Big Bicone Shape for those super big designs.

11mm round. These old goodies are from Czechoslovakia. They have that wonderful sheen seen on carnival glass made during the depression. The color is a beautiful wheat with that wonderful finish. Fun buttons.

18 x 25mm. Check out the enlargement to see the backside as well as the front. An unusual glass button designed with an added golden toned shank. cira 1950’s. Can’t you see these on a lady’s suit jacket?

13mm round. These old buttons have the shank and design molded into the glass. Great old buttons.

26mm round. These have a shank and stunning detailed design molded into the glass. Great old charming buttons.

35mm round. These buttons are nice and big. Made in Czechoslovakia. They are a black molded glass with the "La Mode" signature on the backs. The faceted is quite nice. These are rather old and may have some imperfections, that’s the beauty of vintage. . . .isn’t it? I can picture these big buttons on a heavy sweater or coat or in a wonderful jewelry design. Hum. . . .

18mm. These are really rare and special! Early glass sew on beads with two holes. The backs are flat and the front is faceted. The edges are irregular as these are made in times less precise than today. The color is a beautiful melon pink. Unusual indeed.

14 x 22mm. These are a wonderful powdered angel skin coral color. The peachy coral color is rich around the edge of the bead and the top and bottom are paler in color. Once again, those Italians know how to make a bead!!!

4-5mm round. These are Moon Star Brand beads "made in Japan". Each bead is unique because they are hand made lamp beads. The sizes and shapes do vary a tiny bit. These remind me of Dinosaur Eggs. Don’t know why, because I have never actually seen a Dinosaur egg. But if a Dinosaur egg is green with spots and really tiny, these would surely fit the bill. They are really pretty!

15 x 12mm. These are stunning! They are drilled along the long top edge. We have put a headpin through a couple so you can see. Check out the enlargement. Nice big crystals.

11mm rounds with a nice size 2.5mm hole. these have been plated in a rhodium silver finish.

3.5mm Faceted hot pink beads that are molded on thread. 5 continuous yards of beads per lot. That’s 50 cents per yard! These have been used in the garment industry to sew onto costumes and other items for decoration. Great beads to create fun fashions for kids of any age.

10mm round. Why do we love these? I’ll tell you! They are made the old fashioned way. . . . with pride! Made in Italy. They have a light blue core and are surrounded with clear lucite that has a carved outer edge and embedded silver sparkling glitter. Wow. . . .that’s a lot of detail. Details you can really design with!

5mm. These wonderful vintage sequins came with the original tags that has a peacock on it. Made in Belgium. They are a pretty glossy with a iridescent finish on one side & flat on the other side. They are on their original 11" strand and have approximately 1,300 sequins per strand. Unusual and pretty!

4 x 6mm. These wonderful old goodies are clear with a powder White finish on the inner hole. The bead has 5 edges for a nice shape as well as unusual color from the core. This bead is also available in blue, far out pink, & black.

17" knotted strand of sensational faux glass 8mm pearls. These are really stunning! From the 40’s & "Made in Japan" Marked Kiska. All hand knotted with gold toned bead tips at the ends for easy finishing. These pearls are have been well preserved. Pristine uncirculated condition with luster to amaze the most fussy folks around. Simply add a stunning vintage clasp and . . . .BAM. . . .you will have perfection at an unheard of cost.

8 x 4mm. These are old "made in Czechoslovakia" machine cut beads. A beautiful wheel shaped rondell in that classic clear crystal.

9.5 - 10mm round. These are outstanding in color. Each bead has its own personality because they are all hand made. They have a nice mottled spotted design. I must say that we feel pretty lucky to have stumbled upon these old beauties.

6mm Fluted melon shaped old milk glass beads. These were in their original packaging with tags that said "Made in Germany - U.S. Zone." Nice old goodies.

10mm round. Nice beads here. The patina does vary from bead to bead. Gotta have vintage beauty.
