Here is a little trick I stumbled across while I was experimenting. . .I soaked some of the vintage brass buds (item #7748) in the cleaner Simple Green. The great thing was that if I just soaked them for a short time, the simple green cleaned them up but they still had that great old patina. Then I soaked some others a bit longer and they came out pretty and shiney! Simple Green is great for cleaning as well as cleaning up old brass. It’s amazing! The image to the right is before. . . .
This image is after soaking in Simple Green for just 10 minutes. Amazing! FYI - Don’t soak too long or a dull finish will appear.
