It’ show time! You can visit us this upcoming
weekend at the Down the Street Bead Show in the
NEW Rock Hill, SC Location conveniently
located to both Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. We
will be bringing Sterling silver and vermeil beads &
bead caps, a huge selection of Swarovski Crystal
Beads and clasps, clasps & more clasps. In fact, we
are bringing more clasps than we have ever shown at
one time before.
Some of you may know Alice, the beautiful bead
babe, also known as my mother. She has also been
mistaken for my sister on occasion. Alice joined a
new club. Actually, it’s a dinner club. She
volunteered to make an appetizer for the club which
meets this Saturday evening. She figured that would
be easy and she could make her famous “cheese ball
appetizer” and work with me at the show as well as
attend the dinner club without a hitch. Well, that
was until, she realized that the club had a recipe
they wanted her to follow for a gourmet appetizer
that the club picked out. She wants to leave the
show early on Saturday, so that she can “try” to
prepare the dish for the club. I think she should just
make the “cheese ball” and ask for forgiveness or
claim ignorance. What do you think? My vote is for
the cheese ball, definitely!
Don’t forget to get into the Customer
Appreciation Jewelry Contest -
That’s correct, we are holding a contest for you, our
customers. We would like you to have a chance to
be rewarded for your creativity. The customer with
the ‘most creative’ creation will receive a gift
certificate worth $200 of merchandise from A Grain
of Sand. The photo has the A Grain of Sand panel
of judges from left to right: Kelly, Beth (the new
kid), Suzanne and our famous and most beautiful,
Alice. Entering is simple and here is how:
1. Create a beautiful item of jewelry using our
products.
2. Take a digital photograph of your favorite
creation or scan a regular photograph.
3. Using your Blog or personal website, post
the photograph along with a description of the piece,
with a list of the A Grain of Sand products used in its
making.
4. Include a link back to
http://www.agrainofsand.com. Notify us with the
location of your site or blog entry.
5. Entries must be posted between March 8,
2006 and May 1, 2006.
All entries will be compiled and judged by the staff at
A Grain of Sand on May 1, 2006. The winner of the
contest will be announced the first week of May, and
in addition to winning the $200 Gift Certificate, their
