Sherrie and Glenn tied the knot in Maui. Lauren
purchased two blonde wigs in NYC. Maybe she will
wear one to the Charlotte show? Stop by and see.
Alice took Al’s favorite comfy chair out of the sitting
room.. . .What torture for those new knees! And the
kicker of the week. . . I talked Kevin into visiting my
100 year old Great Aunt Mary (that’s right - 100)
last week, and, now he is all she talks about. Who
would have known that this old lady would fall for
such a young one. I think I can take her though. He
he! But I’m not one to gossip, mind you! Here is
some news for all the local Charlotte, North Carolina
area bead babes. . . . If you havn’t heard, the
Beadlush in Charlotte is having an Ugliest
Necklace Contest. Everyone is talking about it!
There will be a "We want to have a party", party at
the Beadlush on Saturday, July 16th from 2-6pm to
announce the winner and celebrate beading in
general. Because of the conflict of interest, I’m not
allowed to submit my Ugliest creation. But I’m going
to wear it anyway!!! I might not arrive on time, but I
won’t miss this party. Stop by and say hello. I’m
sure you will get a giggle or two.
If you are planning on going to the Charlotte
Intergalactic Bead Festival at the end of the month,
July 30th and 31st to be exact, you will want to stop
by the Beadlush in Charlotte before the
show to get a coupon for a 10% discount at A
Grain of Sand during the Charlotte show. The
coupon is also good for your next purchase at the
Beadlush bead shop after the show for a limited
time. What a great excuse to stop in for the "We
