We are excited about these genuine cut silk cocoons. How fun is this? Put a hole in them to make a bead or dangle beads from the inside out, sew seed beads onto the outside, use them as a bead cap of sorts. The design possibilities are endless. You receive a variety of sizes, shapes and colors in each lot of 10 cocoons.

This is a rare find! Made in Germany. The Bede Company is no longer in business! We found this treasure in an old warehouse filled with very old goodies from textile companies of years past. This type of fine metallic yarn was used to crochet embellishments onto costumes or uniforms & would make a great bead embroidery material or for delicate bead crochet. Due to the aging process, the outer layers have some patina but the inner layers are very consistent. The tensile strength is on the delicate side. The inner core if the yarn is cotton. This vintage gunmetal color has a sheen that is simply gorgeous!!! Sold by the full skein. The Skein is approximately 2 inches in diameter. Lots of yarn per skein.

8mm. Here is new idea for beading! This is purple mesh tubing with a gold accent. You can fill the tube with an assortment of beads and then attach a clasp. Really simple!
