Okay - I am usually very low key about my
birthday. . . . . but this year I decided to have a "Birth
Week" instead of just a day. I thought it was a good
idea even though Kevin bucked at it a bit. It started
last
Wednesday when my girlfriends had a very nice party
in my honor and the celebration has continued. Al and
Alice splurged on a birthday dinner and Kevin
agreed to carry all my shopping bags during a trip to
the mall. Wow, was that nice!
Alice had trouble finding the perfect gift. So she went
to a Pawn Shop to find an old
broach. The folks that were dining next to use when
she presented the Pawn Shop Broach got a real kick
out of the whole thing. Those of you that know Alice,
know that she will go to all kinds of lengths to please.
Well, I must say that I have never purchased a gift or
received a gift from a Pawn Shop before. The Broach
is beautiful as was the thought. As my "Birth Week" is
coming to an end, I will always remember the year I
gave myself a week of celebration. I think everyone
should have a "Birth Week" at least once. Give it a try!
We have been running around in circles here
trying to get ready to fly out to Seattle, Wa for the Puget
Sound Bead Festival. We will have a selection of
beautiful clasps as well as vintage beads on strands
with us. Please do plan on stopping by & don’t forget
to bring
your discount post cards.
