I must have gained 10 pounds this past week in
Tacoma! How. . . you ask? Those of you that live in
the Seattle area know how wonderful the food is.
During our visit for the Puget Sound Bead Festival we
indulged in the arts as well as all the wonderful
seafood. The image to the right was taken from the
ceiling of an outdoor bridge. Dale Chihuly is the
famous Tacoma native glass artist. Visiting the glass
museum and the glass art in Union Station was about
all of the non fattening places Kevin and I visited. Well
worth a look at all this wonderful glass artwork. It is
simply breathtaking!!! As for our feeding fest that has
led me to the treadmill and crudite. . . . The journey to
Tacoma Cusine began at the Pacific Grill. They make
the best sliders I have ever experienced. We went
there twice just to make sure they were really that
good.. . . . and, they were! Kevin couldn’t get enough
crab cakes from C.I. Shenanigans on Ruston Way in
Tacoma. It’s a waterfront restaurant with sensational
seafood as well as the view. We stopped by the Sea
Grill for their famous Wicked Shrimp after a long day
at the show. Another of our favorites is Etta’s Seafood
in Downtown Seattle as well as Anthony’s Pier 66. So
if you are planning a trip to the Seattle area, make
sure you check these places out as long as you don’t
mind putting on a few extra pounds.
